| how to choose the best vocal microphone? |

hi
i just wanted to know how i can choose the best vocal mic without using it or testing it, like if you can tell me the specfications that a vocal mic needs or any other stuff.

Well firstly, I dont think there is any "best microphone". Alot of microphones sound best used in different ways. Secondly, you gotta ask yourself a few questions. Is this for live sound or for recording? What style of vocals is it? Is it a female or a male? What sort of vocal sound do you want to produce? What is your budget?
If you know the answers to these basic questions, it is possible, to narrow down what mic is best suited for you, by looking at microphone specifications etc.
Saying all that, you could get a "good" sounding vocal from almost any microphone, if applied right. |
