Week 2 Task/presentation The social impact of rock and roll  Reply with quote

Orange Group

Christina (Manager)
Jaimi (Reflector)
Ian (Presenter)
Kai (Recorder)
Seb (Techyboy)

Researched Web Pages
Arthistoryclub.com (general interest paper)
Digitaldreamdoor.com (time line)
Nervous.co.uk (Informtion on the Teddy Boys)
Google.co.uk (Portal to other information)

"From its beginnings, rock and roll has been associated with youth, rebellion, and anti-establishment. The combination of black influences, suggestive lyrics, and wild response by the younger set made rock and roll shocking and threatening to the older generation."

(Arthistoryclub.com)

Group Participation

As a group we brainstormed and came up with an action plan that split us into workgroups to perform a specific task.

Reflector and Technician

Jaimi and Seb researched the various web sites mentioned above taking references from each and passed them to kai (the recorder).

The presenter and Recorder

Once they recieved the information Ian and Kai created the structure of the presentation begining with the reference at the head of this summary then on to a time line and some basic facts about important events.

The Manager

Christina liaised between the two groups and kept the group dynamic functioning well.

The presentation Feedback

Red Presentation

Intuitive with the use of Power Point

Yellow Presentation

Even better presentation we will use power point in future.

Green Presentation

No PP but clear and concise

Orange Group Impression and conclusion

We feel the presentation was well handled by Ian (the presenter) but that he would have been helped by the use of power point which we originally thought would take too long but on reflection would have enhanced the large quantity of information we accumulated.
