Digital audio will always have some weaknesses compared to analogue audio. By its very nature digital audio is binary, meaning that values are either 'on or off'. However, the actual changes in air pressure that create 'sound', whether it is from a guitar, loudspeaker or any sound source, are 'analogue' in nature. Therefore there must be some compromise when the signal is recreated digitally.
