Me: So people how was your week?
Stephen Rodriguez: fun
Me: yeah, what you get up to?
Stephen Rodriguez: The star wars clip was fun except that I didn't know how to add the audio to it
Me: Oh that's correct, you had a Star Wars movie clip to create a sound track to...
Stephen Rodriguez: yep
Me: There are probably endless possibilities in terms of software applications for such a task..
Me: Though a multitrack solution is probably best to create the sonic image... Some audio apps that spring to mind might include Cubase, Nuendo, ProTools, Audition.
Me: No doubt formats might raise some issues in a few areas.. I know Audition only seems to enjoy playing with .avi files..
Stephen Rodriguez: yeah and that's what i've got
Stephen Rodriguez: I can get the picture in there but I can't the audio and picture out
Me: I heard someone had found some free software and converted formats easily, I forget who was that you rachel?
Rachelh-Rachel: yep
Stephen Rodriguez: cool where?
Me: Can you explain..
Rachelh-Rachel: the name of it is blaze media pro
Stephen Rodriguez: nifty... let's see here
Rachelh-Rachel: my editor could not open up the original file
Me: And which editor is this?
Rachelh-Rachel: i had to conver to avi mpg or mov...cakewalk home studio
Me: Ah I see.. and Blaze Media Pro was the ticket?
Rachelh-Rachel: yep
Stephen Rodriguez: I'm downloading it righ now ^_^
Stephen Rodriguez: I'll be back got to restart
Stephen Rodriguez has left the conference.
Me: Great, that should slve it.
Me: So anyone else like to hare their experience?... presuming you completed.
Me: share rather.
Andrew Barber: have just finished task...
Me: Yeah?
Me: what software did you use andrew?
Andrew Barber: cant get it out of qbase?
Andrew Barber: sorry cuebase SX2
Me: hmm
Martin Cook: export to audio mate
Andrew Barber: can export to audio
jaminuk: yeah if you export to audio then use replace audio in video file from the file menu
jaminuk: should do the trick
Andrew Barber: do the two have to be equal length
Stephen Rodriguez has joined the conference.
Stephen Rodriguez: back
jaminuk: what i'd do is when you export the audio, set L & R locators to exactly the same length as the video then export
Andrew Barber: OK, shall i try now?
Me: Go on I bet ya wanna..
jaminuk: yeah give it a 'blast'
Andrew Barber: mmmm k
Me: Whiule andrew is on that how about you Kris?
Kristian Eliasson: I have done it
Me: And what software did you do yours in?
Kristian Eliasson: Cubase SX3
Me: How did it go?
Kristian Eliasson: Well I think ok...
