Assessment study
notes of each groups performance for their presentations.
Orange Group; - Different music trends in the usa and cultural impact around the world, though rock n roll, metal.
Well introduced topic, each member being clearly stated. Whilst music plays the presenter’s voice is recorded over mentioning the facts. Good editing of music,, well spoken and clear voice from all presenters. Good choice of music, the timing of the facts mentioned contrasted well with the amount of music they played.
A professional approach taken, although could have done with some images, or videos. The listener did get bit stressed as listening to the voice without any pictures or text meant; that following what was being said was hard. Facts kept short, and to the point. One downfall was that the music playing had vocals, so it was hard to either listen to the song or what was being said. At times speech was low, and sometimes it was spoken a bit fast and dragged don, so it got a bit to much to take in. good use of audio, very well taken presentation.
Red Group; - Hegemony in music
Presenter stands and addresses the audience, typical presentation whilst speaker talks through what is being displayed whilst adding his own comments. The topic was explained well. The material was very well researched and adapted for the presenter to give his own account. Good use of images. Excellently spoken, clear and amplified. A nice clip put together, well explained slides, and a good use of audio.
Green Group; - The Bromley Contingent
Clear facts, appropriate use of audio and videos files. Straight to the point facts and well addressed issues.
Good use of PowerPoint effects, making the presentation interesting. At times there was a little too much text going on. The point addressed needed to be more introduced and more concluded. A lot of blank spaces, filled up with n time, but presenter made up for that by filling in with what he knew. The sound clip was a good touch, showing everybody what it was really like in that time period.
Yellow Group; - Punk, where it was, and where is it now?
Spoken presentation, with slides and audio files. Clear short facts, precise and to the point. Each point was mentioned and elaborated by the presenters, own knowledge.
Each slide was explained, and then backed up by audio, allowing more of an understanding for the slide. The breaks between the slides worked really well, good amplified voice; the presenter knew what he was talking about. Good material put together. |
