DAW Controllers  Reply with quote

I currently run Pro Tools 6.9 LE, with my humble Mbox. I mainly make electronic music, so the lonley two inputs is enough for me, though i would say it is limited (i cant go out and record a drumkit with 9 microphones:P ) but i manage. Anyway.

Working with a DAW, i really do hate mixing with my mouse. It is very time consuming. So i want to get a controller. So i have faders to move Razz

WIth my current setup of Pro Tools 6.9 LE and Mbox and a Firewire port which I want to make use of, what controllers can I get? Can i use the likes of the Tascam FW 1884? Will this work with Pro Tools? I am not really sure exactly what I am looking for. Does anyone have recommondations or experiences with any DAW controllers? Also by adding the likes of a controller that has inputs in it, how does that work with my lonlely two inputs of the Mbox ???

Just one other thing too. I plan to do live work with a band that has guitars drums etc. So a controller that can be used live, in whice i could manipulate other instruments on stage would be a big plus!

Hope someone can help!

Cheers

Control surfaces  Reply with quote

Theres the Mackie Control Universal, not as expensive as Digidesign and offers the same stuff. I think Behringer has come out with a control surface too. Though I;ve had bad experiences with Behringer till now, I've heard that their controller is quite reliable..
