So how do these Podcasts really work. What equipment/software do I need to start Podcasting?

For podcasting you need a microphone and a computer and a show of some kind.

This is then recorded and uploaded to a web server host who will generate an rss feed for you. This feed will contain details about your content and rss aggregating software will be able to understand new episodes are ready for downloading to your mp3 player.

That's the shortest description I can make, did you listen to ours?
