Daw session transfer  Reply with quote

Is there an easier way to transfer files recorded in pro tool 7.0 into nuendo?i would rather mix this session in nuendo. If I can bounce an omf session that would be cool too!

You need Digi Translator  Reply with quote

Unfortunately with Pro Tools, to export/import OMF files you need an add on called the 'Digi Translator' which costs extra. If you don't have it, the only way would be to consolidate/bounce/print to track/export your audio files as broadcast wave and import into Nuendo.

FxPanson Adapter  Reply with quote

In case you want to mix in Nuendo just because of VST plugins, you can buy the FXPansion VST to RTAS converter to run those plugins in Pro Tools. The last time I checked it costed $99.

Can I resave the session with a new audio folder only containing the data in the session?

Because when I try to import to nuendo from that protools audio folder it pulled up everything that i deleted and what I kept in the session.

Delete unused regions  Reply with quote

For safety sake you make a new session copy (File>Save Session Copy In..). Make sure you tick "Audio Files" so that the audio files will be included.

Now open this session, and go to the region list (the list on the right of the Edit window) and open its menu (click on that little arrow on the top) and then click on Select>Unused. Once your unused regions are selected click on 'Clear..'. A window will pop up asking if you want to remove or delete regions. Click on delete. If you dont want to click on every remove/delete window that pops up (for every region), hold Alt and click on delete.

Or you can use these shortcuts:
Control/command + shift + U (to select unused regions), followed by,
Control/command + shift + B (to clear selected regions)
