i have another question for u each time i play a instrument on fl i hear a funny crackling noise in the background any idea what it is |

You just need to increase your buffer size a step or two until it disappears.
the crackling is what i call "Latency Clicks" its just glitches in the audio because your CPU isnt able to get the audio out fast enough due to the lack of buffer.

it will be in the control panel of your soundcard, in windows XP you will most probably have a small quick-icon in the bottom right corner of your screen on the taskbar, open the control panel and there will be an option for changing the buffer size.
