Hi there. I have a question that everyone will think pitiful, so please, someone take pity on me. I have inherited a Carillon PC with E-MU 1820 soundcard from a friend. At some point in the future I want to learn how to use it for music tech, but for now all I want to do is use Skype. I plug in a microphone, which I know works fine, and I can see on the PatchMix DSP that it registers the input. But then it does nothing with it. All I want to be able to do is speak into the mic and hear my voice coming out of the speakers. I know the problem is not Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices - that's all as it should be. I think the problem must be to do with inserting the right 'send' on the appropriate strip, but I've tried most of them and nothing seems to work. What should I do?! Any help very much appreciated!
