Firstly. YOURE A VERY BAD PERSON!! or possibly very rich. Illegally downloading software isnt nice. especially as they are full of bugs and dont work properly. so once youve decided which one you like best. go and buy a real copy ok, you'll thank me for it later.

You will probably be wanting a decent vocal microphone, take a look at MXL or Oktava's Large Diaphragm microphones. youll also need a soundcard with mic preamps, take a look at the M-audio range for a simple 2in 2out USB2 or firewire interface, i also hear the Presonus firebox is a nice piece of kit but havent used one personally. also dont forget the mic stand, pop shield and good quality mic cable.

As for the controller keyboard, its nice to have a decent size 49key setup. i have an Edirol PCR-50 which is great little keyboard for the money, if you prefer something a bit higher quality, look at CME's range of controller keyboards.

As for the software, our "motto" is to learn the concepts and not the software. go down to your local library and find some books on music production. Once you know the concepts, then get the manuals for the software and fall asleep reading those for a while.

P.s. I apologise if you have bought that software, but frankly i doubt you have gone out and spent upwards of £1000/$2000 on a whim. Wink

Well i did bought those 3 softwares, but i just don't know how to use it. Actually i'm not really focused on putting vocals in the music. I just want to make the instrumentals first.

What does firewire for ? What is the use of it ? Are these equipments you mentioned are suitable for a beginner like me ? Cos i dont wanna waste money for super expensive equipments that i can't maximally use

What do you mean by "go down to your local library and find some books on music production. Once you know the concepts, then get the manuals for the software and fall asleep reading those for a while." ? You want me to go to bookstore and find manual books for those softwares ?

Even so i would recommend getting a higher quality soundcard that will allow you to use ASIO drivers that will result latency (less delay of the sound) when making your music

Firewire is a method of networking peripherals to your computer, in this case sound cards. have you looked at the M-audio website?

No, i mean the exact opposite, find some books and websites on producing music in your style, not how to use the software. it is important that you know what a compressor, EQ, Arpeggiator etc does and how they work before you try using them in your specific software

Is this any help to you?

I still dont understand what firewire are for, is it a same thing as a soundcard or is it a media to connect the equipments to the computer ? What kind of firewire is suitable for beginner ? Is it necessary to have a firewire ?

I was thinking to study in SAE institute to have the Electronic Music Production, is it a good place ? And after that maybe i want to take the Audio Engineering Diploma, in the same SAE institute. Do you think SAE is good ?
