Hi,

I don't use Fruity Loops so I have no idea how you would handle that.

However, what I've found useful when approaching this style of work, regardless of software being used, is to cut up the song into sections, ideally 1 or 2 bar files. I'd cut them up in an audio editor, ensure that they loop 'in time' and then import them into my sequencer.

Obviously the problem with working with the whole song as one file is that if you are out even by 1% with the tempo, it will drift over time and end up completely out of time. By working with several smaller 1/2/4 bar loops you minimise the risk of this happening.

This also gives you freedom in terms of structure - you can miss parts of the songs out, repeat lines and completely change the order and length of the track.
