| Focusrite Saffire or NI Audio Kontrol 1? (need advice) |
|
|
I'm choosing between this sound cards, but I'm not shure what to get. So far I had Terratec DMX6Fire, now I want to get something a liitle "more proffesional" for arround 450€.
I will use it generally for composing (Nuendo, VST's), recordings (by microphones)need good pre-amp, need good export audio quality of VST's for further studio production. (don't need more than 1-2 mic inputs)...
So, for extra 200€ do I get a lot more if I choose Saffire over Audio Kontrol1 ?

Hi Tomson,
Well if youre looking for a nice pre-amp Focusrite would be the safe bet as they make some of the best Mid-range pre-amps around, and they use similar components and design in the saffire.
They both go up to 24/192 and chances are you wont want to sample that high anyway. you may want to think if the controller functions on the NI unit are going to be useful to you or not.
I havent heard either so cant give you much more than the cold facts.
