Starting to use the Audix SCX-25 more and more, sounds great for a reasonable price, stick it in front of anything and it sounds great, stick it in front of woodwind and its something else.
Also used a Sony C800 valve mic a couple times on vocals, one of the warmest sounding mics ive used, but then its a valve so it would, and youd be lucky to find one for love nor money. they go for about 10grand GBP nowadays i believe. _________________ If In Doubt...Hit It With a Hammer, If Still In Doubt... I had a condenser mic for bout three months before i could actually use it. I finally got a phantom power supply for the mic and it sound pretty nice for a 50 dollar mic...might not be as fancy as what others are posting up but if youre broke and you wanna record, check out the MXL 990/991 package. they prolly go for 75-100$USD |
