Yeah..but I think for too short a duration for it to be really noticed but long enough to inlfuence today's alternative music scene. A lot of those brit pop bands still exist but have reinvented themselves -Radiohead..Oasis..Travis..
It would br wonderful though if bands like The Stone Roses or Suede could come back to the music scene like how they were 10-15 years ago.. But would that kind of music survive today?
I think the fall was caused by boy bands coming into the picture along with the rise of hip-hop.
