Seaking an audio course in England  Reply with quote

Hi everybody,

I'm matt and i come from north-east France. I'm studiying in audiovisual (it's a BTS in france, a kind of sound technician diploma) especially in Audio Jobs. The course lasts 2 years, i'm in my first year. After i'll get my BTS, i'd like to study audio, sound technology and informatics sound systems, in England. It's why i've just created a profile here. What kind of courses can interest me ? Which school ? I don't really know how does studies degrees work in england and i don't want to spend all my cash in a school.

I need help Wink Thx

Matt

Check out Audio Courses  Reply with quote

Hi Matt,

If you are looking for interesting courses, you may check out Audio Courses curriculum and syllabus for the different modules. More than just interesting, you will gain a wealth of knowledge. And don't think that distance learning means less learning. You sound as if you do want to learn so at least take a look. It will cost nothing to look at the curriculum. At any rate, I wanted to get my 2 cents in here. It is nice to see people wanting to learn. That is most of the battle.

Keep watching these forums as well. Lots of good information from experienced people willing to share. Good luck with your educational goals

No Practice?  Reply with quote

Hi Matt,

Thanks for taking a look. No, I didn't say distance learning was perfect. Just an alternative to expensive university education. I've completed two university degrees (UC California) and they weren't nearly as comprehensive as AC courses. Perhaps you could talk to former students about the absence of practice. Lots of time is spent on 'practicals' for the courses. There is a list of graduates in the forum index.

These courses are student driven, so if one really wants to learn the opportunity for enrichment is incredible. But no-one will spoon or drip feed the information. Just an alternative for students seeking interesting, real-world experience. And no, I have no financial interest in Audio Courses.

Cheers

Ron

Leaving for education  Reply with quote

Hey Matt,

I am with you on that. I want to leave America to study in England. I love the people there and would love to study for a degree in Audio at a place such as SAE. AC recently made a deal for some kind of affiliation with them. I wish you the best of luck. Your English seems good to me. Keep in touch with your activities and for great tips look here on the forums. I, for one am always looking for tips from everyone. Just have fun and share your experiences. Okay?

Cheers

Ron
