No matter how hard I try I cant get the debth I want from reverb in my
mixes . I use more reverb to move a sound back in the mix and predelay
or less reverb to move a sound to the front .But more or less reverb just
wont do the trick ,it wont simulate the DISTANCE.Theres a plugin called trueverb it has a parameter "distance" ,but for using this ,I have to apply
one reverb plugin per track and it uses a lot of CPU power. So help me with
this .Do I have to use different type of reverb for the sounds that are closer
or those that are farer (for example using small room for closer sounds and large hall for far sounds?).
Thanks a lot

E.Q. Can Have an Impact on the Depth
You might want to change your approach a little here. Rather than focus on just the reverb look at combining the reverb with the e.q. setting. Depth in a mix is often to be found by the amount of “top” on a sound. You will find that sounds with more high frequency content will appear closer and more “up font”. You can experiment with this quite easily in your mixes and listen to the depth increasing as the e.q. is changed.
Let us know how you get on with it.
