Adat card  Reply with quote

Hi doclutz,
I have an R.M.E .hammerfall(digi 9636) card with 2 Adat inputs(also spdif in/out).The card is not cheap, but very reliable with extremely low latency. This card is great for recording,in fact i dont use my adat anymore, just the card! (obviously if youre 'out and about' recording you wont wanna take your pc with you!).You might want to buy a 'sync' lead if you didnt already have one.It is VERY IMPORTANT to make sure you choose the right length of lead when purchasing.I would recommend at least 0.5m but 1m is ideal. I used cubase with mine with no problems, except some time and patience is required when transferring from adat to pc for the first time but once you suss this out it is an easy process.Check out www.rme-audio.com/english/
hope this helps.Another tip:Comet sell s-vhs tapes(on sat too!)

Cheers
Will
