reocrding set up / process

reocrding set up / process  Reply with quote  

i've lately began to get into recording specifically just vocals but i have a problem whenever I record that i have this light static / air noise in my recordings and cannot figure out why / how to eliminate it
if anyone could halep me i'd appretiate it i have a list of my equiptment below

mic: Audio Technica At 3035
mixer: Behringer Eurorack UB 1832FX -Pro
soundcard: audigy 2 zs

Is your computer in the same room that you record in?

that could be one or all of (3) things.
1:the wires
2: the behringer mixer
3: the audigy

the audigy isn't really a RECORDING INTERFACE, and may be inducing pink or white noise in your recordings. a bad wire can do the same thing...
behringer mixers are often noisy. check you gains.. adjust them and track some vocals again and see if the noise is still there.
