Cheap Foldback Mixer
can anyone recommend a cheap dedicated foldback console or a standard console that does the job really well, in fact ability to act as FOH is useful.
Looking at the sub $1000 dollar range, with no more than 20 channels but plenty of auxilliary sends.

I don't know that you will find one for $1000 new. A&H GL2200 is a pretty decent mixer and can do multi-duty as a small monitor console and FOH mixer. Runs around $2000 for the 24-channel model. I like it quite a lot, but as with most A&H it doesn't seem to have quite the headroom I am used to in other consoles. Our ML5000 has the same headroom issues. You probably won't have a problem though. All in all a very excellent mixer for the price and size.
