Can't bloody beleive it - I got a distinction in both papers - was convinced I had failed MT so really chuffed about that - must have been John Mizzi's kitchen that did it!!!!!
Be interested to hear how everyone else got on.
My studio at home is coming on well so that certificate will look very good on the walls. Also just been appointed as a Gigajam drum tutor so hope to be teaching in schools and at home very soon which I am also really excited about - means I should be able to give up the day job soon and just do drum lessons and recording and writing in my studio - it does not get much better than that - life's good at the moment.
Hope to do the digital audio course either in September or next year - depend on how the drumming and evrything else goes.
Hope to hear from everyone else.
Cheers
Duncan (hoggs33).
P.S to Ben - don't mention the football - pleased that Greece won it though |

Hey Duncan, congrats!
I couldn't believe I got distinctions on both papers too. When I got the mail with the D's beside the numbers I thought it meant I got the grade D on both papers...took me a while to remember the (P)ass (M)erit (D)istinction that Chris and Ben had been talking about before.. I think I'm gonna sign up for the Digital Audio course in september soon. I've been building on my studio at home and I've just recently gone from Nuendo 1.6 to 2.0 and added a UAD DSP card in my computer, the effects are great! My friend came over from Florida last month and we recorded an album that I'm currently mixing.. It's gonna be pure hotness when its done ... It would be great to hear from the others and how their exams went..peace!

Hi Aman
I have been thinking about getting the UAD DSP card - sounds good - it it worth getting one - I assume it takes some of the load off the CPU for effects processing
Duncan
P.S - congrats also on your results - let me know if sign up for digital audio in September as I may do it also then. |

Hey Duncan, yeah the UAD is really nice sounding and takes a load off the CPU. I like the Cambridge EQ and the 1176 Compressor.. I just signed up for the September Digital Audio course, hope to see you there..
