Hi,
My name is Luciano and I´ll try to explain to you.
First, Midi is a sound generated by computer and is a math formula of a wave. Some Midi instruments are very realistics because their wave´s forms seem with the real instruments wave´s forms.
However, some Midi instruments like guitar and bass guitar sound, like you said, unreal 'cos the wave´s form of the guitar is formed by a group of waves called harmonics. This waves together create the sound caracteristic of the guitar. As there isn´t a math formula to imitate the real sound, some Midi music don´t sound realistic.
Sorry for my english, I´m from Brasil and I don´t speak very well. |
