| Is Bluetooth a problem in a studio? |
|
|
I need to get a printer for my studio and I've seen the option of a Bluetooth connection. This will save on wires (which in my place is a good thing) but I've heard that Bluetooth is sends on some sort of radio frequency. My worry is that it could cause interference in any signals.
Can anyone advise me as to whether bluetooth is problematic in a recording studio? _________________ Mac G4 dual 1GHz Mirror Door Drive, 1.25GB RAM, 140GB drive, OS10.3.6

You should be fine, Bluetooth technologies transmit up in the Giga Hertz band where microwave ovens are, there should not be any interferance.
Besides you can always keep the printing till after the session, as you should with all outside the sessions things.
If anything keep external appliances from working while recording as you are more likely to get power fluctations and spikes, rather than blue tooth problems.
Having said that a mobile phones can be a pain if too close to your circuits, though they operate at much lower frequencies.

Hope that helps. _________________ It's all in the ears. - Learn the concepts not the software.
