Does any body use adobe audition? Is it an Okay s/w?  Reply with quote

I just want to know if any pro realy uses adobe audition. I stumbled upon it over a year ago and have been using it (ver. 1.5) Just upgraded to ver. 2.0 when ver. 3.0 came out. Hav not realy tried 2.0 & 3.0 but i'm not realy satisfied with the capture quality of 1.5. I use a Shure pg 58 vocal mic for my voice overs (its a pretty mini studio, micro-mini) with no defined voicing chamber just my closed room. Mixer is the proel xs 28 and i use either an acer aspire 5633 or hp 530 to record directly with no external sound card. I no my techniques are rather crude (just trying 2 mak do with what i can get), and it real discouraging wen i here the output. Any sugesstions as to what i can do? at least the basics i need to get to produce an okay recording without crowding it with effects
Just in case the prolem is not with d software what can i do with the little i hav;
-A laptop with adobe audition 2.0,
-A proel xs28 mixer
-A shure pg58 vocal mic.
Or any better sugesstions as regards gear and techniques Question

Not sure thats a particularly useful suggestion genes, he cant go out and buy a new voice.

Clef, its difficult to help with regards to sound quality without hearing something or at least more information. Best thing is to get a short clip up somewhere for us to have a listen. If that isnt possible try to describe what it is about the sound you dont like.

first step i would suggest is to do some research on acoustics. see what you can do to improve the room you are recording in, it can make all the difference.
