Echo
Echo are a fairly reputable make so i would expect the hardware to be of reasonable quality.
First thing to do is update your drivers to the latest version, you should find those on echo's website. If the clicks and dropouts persist its usually a sign that your buffer is too small. either in your audio software or in the driver control panel for the soundcard you will have an option to change the 'buffer size'. turn this up to a higher value and see if the clicking stops. try as high as 1024 to start with then you can reduce it again at a later state. searching this forum and/or google for 'Latency' will give you more information.
