for using PRO TOOLS do we hav to put any extra hardware?
and
also tell me about the plug ins
that

HI wickedsunny,
I split your post from the other topic as it isnt directly related.
Pro tools does require its own specialist hardware. I imagine you would be looking at Pro Tools which starts from around £240 area for a 2i/2o soundcard and bundled software.
It works in a similar way to a real studio, imagine Pro Tools as your mixer and tape machine, then the plugins are like your outboard gear. things like compressors, reverbs, EQ, preamps etc. which you insert into 'slots' on each channel. These allow you to process the audio in millions of different ways. lets say you recorded a guitar and you want it to sound like it coming from a marshall 4x12. you would buy a guitar cabinet simulator plugin and insert it over your guitar channel.
