The Mia isnt really suited to recording music, its pretty basic and has no physical level controls or mic preamps.
If you have your heart set on Echo, the Gina or Layla would be better choices.
otherwise take a look at the Pro Tools LE systems or M-audio cards.

I was discussing this card on another forum not too long ago, as another user was having difficulty recording the wave out mix. It appears the driver has no configuration for allowing the mixer to do this, does anyone here know if this is in fact the case? |

windows is very poor in that area, it doesnt have a main audio bus in the way OSX does meaning to record internal audio you would need to find some specialist programs if they even exist, i havent used a PC in a long time.
it has nothing to do with the soundcard though.
i assume you are talking about recording the main mix inside the computer itself without hooking up a tape machine or whatever to the physical outputs |

Well using audacity on the pc you can record the wave out mix/what u hear or whatever you want to call it using pretty much all soundcards now, but not the echo mia midi.
Is this easily achievable in OSX? Because I was under the impression that it wasn't. If there is a simple and, most importantly, free way of doing this on a mac then i'd be really interested to know. I heard it might be possible with quicktime pro? |
