I think i can help you solve your problem but you gotta be more specific about what you trying to achieve..what do you mean when u say " i have been able to get sound out of nuendo"..Are you talking about samples from Reason..I am almost sure i can help you on this but i have to know exactly on what |

Ok i got you...
well let's start by saying some settings might be different but they are not fundamentals it is just a matter of preferences. For example when i rewire reason to Nuendo i take every reason device used in my project as a seperate rewire channel because i do my final mix in Nuendo, but you can also do your mix in Reason and then rewire the final mix to nuendo, but like i said it is a matter of preference and what you are more comfortable working with, Reason can do a decent work for mixing but for mastering i'll not even try.
But to get back to your problem don<t kill yourself if you are really really comfortable in reason record the MIDI in reason it has some of the greatest tools to work quickly and easily on your tracks so do all the editing and arrangements in Reason once you are done working on your tracks and record vocals or what not in Nuendo if that is the case go to the FILE menu and follow theses steps
1. File -->Export ----> Audio Mixdown
2. In the Dialog box that opens Go to the Outputs section at the bottom left and select which rewire channel you wanna export and what format you want to export it in ( i recommend Wave .wav can be opened by almost all the editors), your choice but if you don't know what the different options do leave them to their default values, but experimenting with them will help you in the long run.
3. Good practice is to label your rewire channel according to what they represent in reason ex. Lead Guitar_Left , that way when you are on the export section they appear as named and not as channel 1 channel 2 and so on..
Also i create a folder where all the files gonna be exported so i stay organized.
4. so once they are bounced into audio you are free to close reason and import them as audio tracks
what i like about this approach is that i can use the DAW of my choice to mix my work master it or whatever i gotta do with it and also i can work with someone else because my tracks are audio and not MIDI they don't have to have the same refill to be able to play it . I also pay attention to note the Tempo of the track usually i name my folder with those info ex. My New Track_120 BPM_A minor..this way i will know what track it is what tempo and what key, just in case you have to sell the track.
I talked a lot but i am just trying to avoid you some long hours of figuring out.
If you have any questions post it in that same thread so i know that is you
Hopefully that will help you that is a lot of writing but the process is really simple
NB i usually export them on track at the time sometimes left and right channels separated just depends on your needs of the moment |
