I am currently living in the UK and am wanting to go back to school and join an audio engineering program. I'm hoping to move back to Canada (school for international students over here ain't cheap!) and join a program for Fall 2010. Have heard from a few different sources that it is unwise to spend lots of money and invest lots of time in schooling (better to dive into the industry) but I do want to touch up on my skills, gain some solid credentials and maybe some networking contacts along the way. Looking for a shorter program (was thinking no more than a year). Any ideas on what are good schools I should be looking at?
From my research so far, I've narrowed down to TARA in Toronto, MOSMA in Winnipeg, and PAVI in Vancouver. OIART also looks like it has a pretty awesome program but the cost is pretty high ($29000 tuition). ANY advice, ANY feedback on any of these (or other schools) would be greatly appreciated. They all claim to be the best so it would be awesome to hear from someone who's actually been or has some advice.
Also, Anyone have advice on scholarships offered for any Canadian Audio Engineering schools? Anyone had success with certain scholarships in the past?
Sorry for the length... Thanks a bunch and hope to hear from ya!
