Description: It is now possible to produce music at home using an average computer (PC or Mac), along with a small selection of inexpensive software. There is a definite growing trend amongst producers towards using a single computer as a complete virtual studio. For example remix guru Arthur Baker, who has lectured as a guest of the school, now remixes songs on his laptop, at home, in the garden, or whilst on the move. The quality of the production is not compromised in any way, and the creative process is actually speeded up as a result of this new technology.
