The Dix Hills Center for the Performing Arts at Five Towns College is a home for the arts on Long Island. Not only does the Center play an important role in the cultural education of Five Towns College students, but it helps the College achieve its goal of enriching the lives of the residents in the local community. The Dix Hills Center sponsors numerous cultural events each year that are attended by both students and the general public. <P> During past seasons the Center hosted The Sound Symphony Orchestra, The Atlantic Wind Symphony, The International Art of Jazz, The Huntington Circle of Dance and The Sea Cliff Chamber Players. The Dix Hills Center, in conjunction with the Township Theater Group, presented theatrical productions of "Fiddler On The Roof", "Other Peoples Money", and "Noises- Off". This year the 8 DHC will host the Long Island Media Arts Show, which will bring 500 of the most talented media arts students to campus for workshops, juried showing, and lectures.
