I use a MXL 990 on this episode, but all others I used an SM57, not a huge difference.

The secret is to get up close so you are eating it, that then manifests the "proximity effect".

Dear Friends,
A group of researchers at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, are investigating effects of Weblogs on “Social Capital”. Therefore, they have designed an online survey. By participating in this survey you will help researches in “Management Information Systems” and “Sociology”. You must be at least 18 years old to participate in this survey. It will take 5 to 12 minutes of your time.
Your participation is greatly appreciated. You will find the survey at the following link.<a href="http://faculty.unlv.edu/rtorkzadeh/survey/" rel="nofollow"> http://faculty.unlv.edu/rtorkzadeh/survey/</a>
This group has already done another study on Weblogs effects on “Social Interactions” and “Trust”. To obtain a copy of the previous study brief report of findings you can email Reza Vaezi at reza.vaezi@yahoo.com.

Hi Chris - thank you for playing Derek Malone, not once but twice, and sorry it took so long to check out your podcast. Just to correct your dyslexic reading of our website, it's CatsAway.com, which is why we always capitalize the C and the A. Cats. Away. Mice. Play. See? It does make some sort of sense.... maybe....

For the PC issue- This is a resource conflict... windows was confusing your sound card with a network card (or other device) and isn't sharing IRQ's. Try disabling DHCP in start->run->services.msc and see if it solves the problem.

well what a nice surprise to hear you guys on this podcast, I listened whilst doing the ironing before my mid morning cup of tea. However certain elements of the cast were shall we say "risque" I particularly liked your comment Mr Hambly about the financial effects on Wharf development, "money does the talking", now I'm not sure but I think you will find that is only half the story because in my experience "bullshit does the walking".
Awesome listen chaps! will tune in more regularly. Brought back some very happy memories. Sorry by the way Chris for the battering my kit did to your mini, I probably never said thanks.
All the best, Dom

Chris - Thanks for playing some of my show on your podcast. Shame I was covering so much material at the time you recorded! I could have been doin' my own tunes. :) Appreciate you airing the entire song "Decisions". Not many folks have heard that one outside Second Life.

Cheers!

Thanks so much for playing <a href="http://www.kenturetzky.com/index.php?entryid=102" rel="nofollow">I'll Get Old And Die</a> on the program.

AC Podcast is one of the coolest shows around, and I'm thrilled that you get my sense of humor. I'm moving to England just as soon as it quits raining over there.

Once again, you're in my <a href="http://www.kenturetzky.com/index.php?entryid=112" rel="nofollow">Podcast Roundup</a>!

live broadcasts are a great concept...tried it on Blog.tv.com a couple times, couldn't get the 'chat' part to work which is ok since i was performing, got lots of viewers, but sometimes seeing that CHAT is vital when your sound isn't coming across, or video might be choppy...the idea is to broadcast SL to blogtv and myself in RW onto blogtv...for those of us who do the Virtual Live Shows...as well as broadcast rw live shows. Need to find more options for this, better ways to do it...Nothing like LIVE VIDEO, next best thing to the RW...but since our 'virtual world' is global..the video of live shows is always great eye candy...

live broadcasts are a great concept…tried it on Blog.tv.com a couple times, couldn’t get the ‘chat’ part to work which is ok since i was performing, got lots of viewers, but sometimes seeing that CHAT is vital when your sound isn’t coming across, or video might be choppy…the idea is to broadcast SL to blogtv and myself in RW onto blogtv…for those of us who do the Virtual Live Shows…as well as broadcast rw live shows. Need to find more options for this, better ways to do it…Nothing like LIVE VIDEO, next best thing to the RW…but since our ‘virtual world’ is global..the video of live shows is always great eye candy…
