Problems? Solutions!

Whether you are a live performing artist, a studio musician or a home musician, some of the following problems may be familiar to you.

  1. My arranger keyboard can't play the great quality sounds of the software synthesizer that I have on my PC. One Man Band allows you to use softsynths in both melody and accompaniment.
  2. I find the quality of the keys on all arranger keyboards that I've tried not satisfactory. I want 88 keys with good feel. Use any MIDI keyboard controller in your One Man Band arranger setup.
  3. I have my mind set on this fantastic synthesizer but it hasn't got a built in arranger. I do like to play automatic accompaniment now and then. Hook up to a PC and let One Man Band be your arranger while you use both the keyboard and the sound of your synthesizer. Actually converting your synthesizer into an arranger keyboard.
  4. I'm a little bored with the styles in my arranger keyboard. I can download plenty of other styles from the internet but find it a pain to load each style with a floppy. With One Man Band you can browse and load styles directly from your PC's hard drive.
  5. My arranger keyboard can't load new styles. One Man Band let's you play the enormous collection of Yamaha compatible free styles on any keyboard that has a MIDI connection.
  6. I need midifiles with backing tracks to accompany me while I play my favourite piano pieces. The sequencer window in One Man Band let's you create an accompaniment quickly by dragging and dropping chords and styleparts.
  7. A friend of mine has a complete orchestra in his keyboard. I can't get such a sound from my digital piano. Turn any digital piano or synthesizer into an arranger keyboard with One Man Band.
  8. I want to make my own styles for my Yamaha arranger keyboard. I find it very difficult using the built in tools for that. You will find it easy using the stylemaker in One Man Band. Turn MIDI files into styles and mix existing styles.
  9. I play styles on my Yamaha arranger keyboard that were converted from other keyboards. They sound a bit odd. With the mixer in One Man Band you will find it easy to adjust all settings and try different voices for each track while the accompaniment plays.
  10. I don't want to pay thousands of dollars extra to get a hard drive (instead of a floppy), sufficient internal memory and a decent screen in an arranger keyboard. I already have all that in my PC and paid much less. Add the hardware that you already have in your PC to your arranger setup with One Man Band.
  11. I want to turn the songs in my songbook into music, but I don't play the keyboard very well. With Busker you can drag and drop notes, chords, lyrics and music symbols to create the same picture as in your songbook. Then pick a style and press the play button.
  12. I can't find the karaoke files that I need. If you can find the songs with staff, chords and lyrics in a songbook then create your own karaoke files with Busker.
  13. Can somebody show me how to play the keys of my keyboard for this song. The notes and chords in my songbook are Chinese to me. You don't need to read music. Just enter what you see in the songbook in exactly the same way in Busker. Press play and the on-screen keyboard will show you how to play the chords and melody. Follow Me is a songbook that offers the same "teaching by example method" for 50 traditional songs.
  14. I'm trying to record a MIDI file on my arranger keyboard but I keep playing wrong chords. Any arranger keyboard with MIDI connection has a remote control feature. When the remote control is in effect the automatic accompaniment synchronises to external MIDI clocks instead of it's built in clock and it follows the chords from external MIDI notes. Chordplayer uses this remote control to play chord sequences that you can type in advance.
  15. I find it very complicated to add text for a Karaoke song in a normal sequencer. Type or copy the text into Serenade and then use the ctrl-key while the midifile plays to insert each word or syllable at the right time.
  16. I need backing tracks for my solo performance. The easiest accompaniment maker is Band Minus One.
  17. None of the MIDI tools that I've tried does what I want to. Create you're own MIDI tools (batch and real-time processing) with MPL.
